Simple dictionary applications
Applications allow users to use free bilingual dictionaries offline. All dictionaries have to be UTF-8 files with one translation per line and words separated by tabulators. Hundreds of free bilingual dictionaries can be created and downloaded from the Universal dictionary system.

JSlovo
jSlovo is a fast database engine and a GUI written in JAVA. It should work on any OS where JAVA is installed. With jSlovo you can create a file-based database from a text file and then use it to search for particular words. It was designed mainly for free dictionaries. The dictionaries can be taken from http://www.dicts.info/ or any other place. The only requirement is that the text file should be in UTF-8 format, with one translation per line, and definitions should be separated by tabulator or "|".
