Xara was the first program to let you edit graphics in preview mode, at a time when the big names such as Macromedia FreeHand and Adobe Illustrator still forced to you work exclusively with wireframes. It doesn't take long to find your way around, either: the context-sensitive toolbar provides just about all the functions you need, and even if you feel compelled to access the menus, there are only six of them. There is no 'symbols' feature for repetitive graphics or any spellchecker for text, for example. |
